6v6s in a TopHat SuperDeluxe?

    Anybody tried 6v6s in a TopHat SuperDeluxe?
    Worthwhile?

    It's a 2004. (So it has the EL34 tranny upgrade, right?)
    It has a G12H and a Blue in it too...

    I should have my '03 TH SD any day now... mine doesn't ahve the EL34 Trannies in it - but it should sound KILLER with the 6V6's....

    I spoke to Brian at length in regards to his new Super Deluxe, which can take 6L6s, EL34s, and 6V6s. He told me that he discontinued the Club Deluxe because with 6V6s in the SD, it sounds better than the CD. Apparently because of the new transformer design that's used to accommodate all three tube types, it really works well with the 6V6 setup.

    Now, that's an interesting piece of info. that explains why he put the
    kabosh on the CD's . Thanks, for that .
