Interesting. I was a big sports player back in England as a child and a teenager with soccer and cricket, but parents hardly ever came to the games; in fact, having your parents watch you play was a bit uncool. It might give the appallingly shameful impression that you were a 'mommy's boy' or something like that. Funny how cultures differ.

Or else gaze in stupefied horror and disappointment at the degradation of their proud experiment! "OMG! What will this creature do next?!!" ;)

So, an angry pregnant woman walked onto the infield with a bat in hand, yelling the battle cry of all trash people, "F*** you, I don't give a F***." Another parent tried to disarm her and then the fight was on.

Hopefully they don't hit the 'ol reset button. Maybe we are too damn funny to laugh at. This sports brawl is not funny though.

My kid is soo much better than yours. If the refs were only fair! The ref, in fact, is being a wise-guy. :facepalm

I'm glad there was a good number of halter tops and wife beater tank tops present otherwise it would really be a mystery as to why this occurred.

I disagree. Losing is not without value. How to acquit oneself with class when beaten is what's important, and what kid's need to learn IMO. There will always be competition in life, always someone who "won" and someone who didn't. Being the one who didn't will inform you of many lessons and wisdom. Respect for the other team that was better, reverse engineer what they did right, they "won", but you didn't make it easy, how to stand behind your team and hash out mistakes and remediation, etc. Stories like this are what happens when some parents don't have their heads screwed on straight.

So much for teaching the kids anything about love, patience, respect, honor, trust, values, sharing, sportsmanship, maturity, taking the high road .... :messedup Hopefully they were all arrested and have to go to court to explain this foolishness.

Maybe not, but I wouldn’t rule out the Marlins.

In my brother's league, there were two fathers that were managers, that literally beat the sh-t out of each other during one game that their son's played each other. The ten year-old kids watched with open mouths in disbelief, as the two managers slugged it out for a good ten minutes! Circa. 1970- things were still bad back then...

    1. Just goes to show you the need for video replay in these games.

    2. Also, too many of the punching parents were leaving their midsections unprotected- a solid body shot or two would have made the fight more interesting.
