I've always wanted to play around with a JCM800, and there's a guy around here who's willing to sell one for $795.

Here's what he wrote about it on Craigslist:
Basically, I'd only really want to buy it if I could turn it around for no loss after playing with it / feeling it out for a month or so. Does this seem like a safe bet?

while it might be worth that much, i'd bet you'd have a hard time selling it at that price. let it sit for a while.

    Great sounding amps.
    Stay with 1986 though 1989.
The earlier models had channel bleed issues.
    Good price IMHO.

I bought a Voodoo deluxe modded version of the same amp for $1000 a couple years ago. The mod alone cost $900, so I thought it was a decent deal. I think $800 is a little high, but it's local so you can check it out and make an offer if he can't move it.

Not a bad price. 2205 is a great amp. Hey shoot for $700 and if he bites even better.
If you sell it on ebay you'll have to ask more than you pay to cover thier fees.

He wanted $900 originally, so I doubt he'd take $700...

    Still trying to decide...
