Best shows I went to in the 90s: Smashing Pumpkins, Nine Inch Nails, Deftones & Tool.
I'm still a huge Radiohead fan (saw them a couple weeks ago in Montreal)

What about Faith No More, Gravity Kills, Bush, helmet, Pantera. The soundtrack for the Crow is like the nexus of 90s music.

The early 90s were my high school years. STP, RHCP, Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, and Oasis were probably my favorites. Good times. So many albums that have meaning to me. Then I grew up.

Sunny Day Real Estate. I think the emo label killed them when they got back together.

Course of Empire is one of the best 90's bands no one heard. I had the pleasure of stumbling on them twice live.

    +1 for
    Faith No More
    Soundgarden
    Tool
    Beck
    Radiohead
    Butthole Surfers
    Primal Scream

    Add +
    Curve
    Chris Isaak
    Dandy Warhols
"Trip Hop" had a good run with Portishead, Massive Attack, Morcheeba & a bunch of others.
    Nine Inch Nails
    Ozric Tentacles
    Verve

I seem to recall Trent Reznor derisively referring to that band and the band Stabbing Westward in the phrase "Stabbing Kills."

I remember that as well, but Stabbing Westward was good as well.

No mention of Cake yet , the 90s also had early Tenacious D.

Just saw both recently, great shows.

    anybody else notice a similar riff @ 3:00 & 5:10 here:

    &
    1:21 & 2:59 here?

(Apparently both bands shared a guitarist & he cross-pollenated the riff.)
