    Hey All,

The guy running this band just sent me some live clips and I thought I'd throw this one up here... It's a Crusaders tune called "Slyzappit" and the group is a jazz crusaders/crusaders tribute band... We just played the Jazz Kitchen in Indy and play the Jazz Factory in Louisville, KY June 7 if anybody here is in that area!

    Hope you like it!

Thanks guys for checking out the clip! I don't get to "fusion out" nearly as much as I'd like, but when I do I really love playing over those grooves!

Loved it Shawn, sweet lines, i liked that one diminished pattern you played up and back, nice o/d tone that gently added nice thickness to your lines. Wish there were allot more of those kinda gigs

    Hey Mark,

GREAT to see you on the TGP!!!! We moved from Nashville in August after about 3 years living there. I am getting my Doctorate in Jazz Studies at the University of Illinios, which is located in Champaign/Urbana, IL.

Hope everything is great in Maryland! It looks like the place you are teaching carries some killer gear!!!!!

    Hey Mark,

That's AWESOME that you own the store!!! Congratulations! I'm sure it's a headache sometimes, but you get to make all the decisions, which is very cool :)

I'm in the 1st year of approx. 3 years program (2.5 years of coursework). It's about 70-80 credits, (2) DMA Recitals, 50-100 page paper based on Recitals and Written/Oral Examinations at the end of coursework which will be based on everything I took throughout my time here. It's keeping me really busy, and there's also a ton of work here in this area, which is great, but with school it gets to be a little much... But, I'll have a 3rd piece of paper to wipe my butt with :)

I'll definitely let you know the next time we come back to DC to visit, would love to hook up and hang and tell old Circus stories!

    Shawn
