I keep hearing that. However, when I plug my fingers into an amp there is no tone or sound even. Plus, it's painful.

He could have gotten refinish done inexpensively in Mexico.
But a good foreign guitar shop should have done a better job on neck.

I recall in Vietnam a few years ago, even good local shops had trouble w/ sunbursts.
