That explains why he was wearing the bib overalls at the club gig-he came straight from his day job...

That was pretty cool - who'da thunk DLR was into something as "normal" as this :huh.

He is definitely an amazing dude, the most intelligent and productive human in that band. My favorite thing about him is that he worked as a paramedic when he was in NYC, covering areas like the Bronx. He was trained as an EMT at Fort Sam Houston, so he got the best training.

DLR is an amazing dude. Of course, he invented The Fabulous Picasso Brothers so already knew that but this just reinforces it.

He pretty much epitomizes the flow of life. He has had some really cool and interesting hobbies and side vocations. Definitely lives each day like it's his last, in a good way.

Yeah that was really cool. I've always thought pretty highly of Dave. He's smart and seems like a down to earth kinda guy.

That was cool. We all knew Dave had the brains and it shows in the songs he writes. A lot smarter with urban cool.

He IS the Atomic Punk, look'n for a Moonbeam.

After I read his book, many ago.....I was like......aah....I see.

He was in the studio I worked at for a few days (mid 90's), with Jellybean (working on a Spanish dance record I beleive). Cool guy, funny as hell. VERY distinctive 'way' about him and 'walk'.

You haven't seen anything till you've seen DLR walking on the side of the street at 21st and Broadway, with pin stripe pants, a t-shirt with bozo on it, fancy suspenders and a backpack flung over his shoulder like a college kid...TRYING to get a cab around 5pm, he had about the same luck as the rest of us....lol. All the 'young' stars ordered car service.

But really, you aint seen nothing like watching DLR get shot down in flames trying to pick up the early 20-something, drop-dead gorgeous black woman at the front desk.....Varnae.

Afterwards we were like, why didn't you go out with him, don't you KNOW who he is.....she was like....."No idea, don't care, creepy old white dude, talks too fast".

    lol

It say's alot that he refer's to it as an art form.

    Love ya Dave.
