Here are a few remakes I've recorded over the years.

    This one:

is a remake of Bobbi Gentry's "Old to Billy Joe" I had a serious sinus infection at the time, and recorded a test vocal in this condition. I never replaced it as too many other things were going on at the time. Many of the words are wrong in the last few verses, as I didn't have them at the time.

The acoustic guitars are a Fender JG26 acoustic series plugged direct, and the bass is an old 70s Epiphone ET285, also plugged direct, both played by me. The drums were programmed by me as well. The lead is my home made Johnnie Johnson strat using the bridge and middle Demarzio FS-1 pickups through Guitar Rig v1.2.

This one is a remade Beatles tune called "Norwegian Wood". It is what it is. ;)

Both were originally recorded in Cool Edit Pro, then eventually moved to Samplitude, then ultimately moved for the last time to Ardour, under Linux for mastering. And a terrible job of mastering I did. Oh well, this was all just for fun anyway.
