Looking for something that will do a great natural spring reverb like Lee Jackson's Mr. Springgy, but also has a good plate setting for the Van Halen one stuff. Please, no EH holy grail recommendations or Boss...

    Well...
The T-rex Roommate is an excellent pedal.
    Bit pricey though....

I have one....It sounds really clean but warm.

Not boutique, but I'm really happy with my Line 6 Verbilla - it's got a great spring reverb which is my "go-to" setting, as well as plate (plus a few others to boot).

Van Amps Soul-Mate for great anaglog spring reverb. Just does spring though, no plate.

i recommend the Dr. Scientist Red Rocket Reverberator for anyone's reverb pedal search. i haven't heard the van halen stuff but the RRR has 3 different plate settings and a dry/wet mix knob. if you do a search on it you'll find a lot of discussion on this pedal. you can also buy one direct from Dr.Scientist and test it for a week, if you don't like it, you can send it back, no restocking fee or anything. nice huh?

So far I've been real happy with the TC Nova Reverb, still in the honeymoon stages though.

    T-Rex Roommate
    Vanamps Solemate

Another interesting one might by the ebs dynaverb.

I've been waiting for any of these to pop up, but I ultimately know that I want spring reverb.

    Picked it up today.

I like it but keep in mind I've only had it for a few hours. But it's got some very nice range -- and I've got my DRRI to compare it to if that means anything.

LP > RVB > 18-watter (contrary to what my intro clip claims :D)

Sounds really grainy but you're overloading the input pretty badly.

The 2 I've heard that are fantastic are the Dr. Scientist RRR, the T-Rex Roommate. I've got demos on my youtube page. I'm going to be demoing a demeter reverbulator which is a real spring reverb in a pedal. Not sure when I'll be getting it though. In a pinch, I like the digitech digiverb.

+1 on the verbzilla. I have almost all boutique pedals on my board except for this one. I keep wanting to get the T-Rex but I have been so happy with the Line 6 that I haven't bothered.

Thanks for the Boost RVB clips. I've been curious about that pedal for awhile. Sounds great!
