Our very own @Sirloin asked me to clean up the tone on an amp he had... So I put it on the grill. Its almost fully cooked, just need to add a few more spices (loop and filter cap) and it will be done... It will be SLO cooked when done...lol...

The nice thing about this piece of sirloin is that it was prepared very nicely....it has a DC filament supply. It is very quiet. It has a low voltage PT, so I had make drop resistor adjustments. But it already smokes....lol....

Can't wait to get this one back. As they say: "timing is everything".

Yes, it started as an extra gain stage Ceriatone. Someone later converted it to 2204 specs. I SLO cooked it....

Wow sounds great...that thing is riding on the wind (nice choice btw)

Love the lower gain tones too.
Sweet amp...great job! And congrats to Sirloin.

Its a 2006 made in Korea that has a few mods. 36th anniversaries, I replaced the electronics, tone pros locking bridge and tail piece, locking Grover tuners. Gibson scale, nice chunky C shaped neck. It is my LP killer...lol...

    Killer looking and sounding guitar.
I always wanted an original. They are big bucks if you find one.
Should have grabbed one when they were more affordable.

Sure sounds great through that amp!

As my buddy and I will often jokingly exclaim when looking at a pedalboard or amp: "Would you just LOOK at that TONE!" :D

I grew up near the B.C Rich factory when they were on valley Blvd in. El Sereno, CA. I used to loiter there quite frequently. They let me handle a lot of the guitars before they were shipped. My late brother was able to pick up an Eagle. My niece still has it. The necks were all over the place on the originals since they were hand carved. This one was CNC carved, so its basically perfect. I would love a 1983 mockingbird, but the prices are definitely out of my budget...lol...

The amp came out great. I am going to make one more clip right now with effects in the loop so you can hear that....

Ha my 2nd guitar was an original 1977 BC Rich KOA MOckingbird. I got it for 650.00 at Daddy's Junky Music in Manchester, NH. Had it thru the 90's and sold it to a friend for a good price. Guess they've appreciated huh? :)

I remember when I was a kid in the 70’s. I used to stare at pictures of Joe Perry playing his BC Rich’s. I wanted one SO bad!

    Looking forward to more clips!

Final clip before I pack and ship back to @Sirloin

This is the second to the last amp I am working on until next March, so his timing was perfect. The last one is my friend's Yamaha T100C that needs some tlc...
