A friend on the Robben forum posted this backing. http://www.scottlernermusic.com/backings/pickdemo.mp3 It is a funky bastard! He did a great job. Here is my wankiferous nonsense... http://www.scottlernermusic.com/eminence/PickLoopDemo1.MP3 Tonespotter speaker. GT Brick preamp on mic. That is what is darkening the tone I think. In any event, feel my bass!
That's just sick, Scott! I'm gonna sell my gear and give the proceeds to the needy. You musta gotten your PhD in funk! (That would be Phunk Doctor) Awesome!!! Best thing I've heard in a very long time.
Thanks Norm! I can't wait for your SICK take Joe! I am sure glad I got a half decent tone on this one! I know yours is gonna slay!
Scott- I know I'm supposed to be listening to the tone of the amp, but that track is just too sick. Listening to you skip the light fandango over those changes is retarded. I keep thinking of some one ice skating, making all these sharp turns, and you expect them to fall but they never do. Tone did seem a tad dark except for one point where it sounded like you hit the bridge pup.
Well, im not too good but damn that was fun to play along to. Ill learn this Wah pedal before its over with http://www.three-five.com/Guitarstuff/Davespickdemo.mp3
Backings are a dime a dozen.... Like Jazzholes Don't worry Ed! I'll find a black one for your big kraut ass.
Heh the backing was so busy that I got all lazy by it http://www.soundclick.us/fastkG/09/05/freemp3/wintherkl+woodandwire.mp3
I gotta agree with Ed here... that backing is like a primer in how NOT to play funk I got excited too, even downloaded it and imported into ProTools.... after about 30 seconds i put the guitar down. Oh well, like Scott said, backings are a dime a dozen... i need te be working on tunes for the album anyhow
