This may or may not be a #1 query...but a simple bit of magic that you have gearwise. Maybe discovered in a moment of epiphany while jamming in your basement or living room. A rig that just kept you captivated and disconnected you from the clock. A rig that basically said to you..."Oh, this is a killer matchup! If you're gonna be crazy and sell/trade something, do it somewhere else!".

For me, it's my Bogner Shiva 112 EL34/verb combo, and my Gibson '04 R7 Goldie with Wolfetone pups. Words fail at this point.
I just cant break them up. There are other amps and guitars that I have and love, but that combination is just breathtaking.

    You?

    Easy...

After running through a plethora of boutique amps over the past few years I've come to the conclusion that - for me - nothing can top the sheer tonal pleasure of playing my Les Paul > my old Marshall amps > a 4x12 (or two) with Greenbacks! :dude

EJ Strat with Mesa Lonestar Special.......

From soft to loud, with all the pickup combos on the EJ, with all the dirt options that the LSS brings to the table, they are a match made in heaven.

A great LP replica with my 68 50 watt Marshall and my Ultimate Attenuator to bring the volume down.

A small volume rig that has THE TONE.

'71 Champ with a Weber Classic Alnico speaker and a '52 RI thin skin Tele.
    That is my midnight rig.
Other amps that get played a bunch would be a Two-Rock K&M Custom(my gig amp)with a Les Paul or Tele.
Then another fav of mine is a Victoria tweed Deluxe.

I've got a CJ11 and a particular Jazzmaster that seriously want to have each other's babies. That guitar kills through most amps though.

My latest aquisition,a Swart STR gets on with everything, but seems to match up with my collings CL particularly well.

My main rig (Triaxis/2:90) with my Ibanez Artist is just the balls but I also have a little rig in my living room that I adore. It is an Epiphone Valve Junior with a cheapo 50$ Zoom GFX-1 processor in front of it. This little setup sounds so cool and is perfect for a living room, bedroom, or even the bathroom if you are so inclined.

Warm, articulate, full of harmonics ... wiggle your finger on the fretboard, and hear every little detail ... clean or overdriven.
