A pretty one with no wanking...that's right, NO WANKING

Here's one I did a while ago that I'm revisiting to see if I can find someone to write some vocals and a nice vocal melody for it. It's one of the few where I left a decent amount of room for vocals. There isn't any wanking in it; it's more of an exercise in guitar melody and mood.

It'd be a whole lot cooler if you did.

That's a really nice framework..

The Melody line over the chorus is really cool.

I see several ways to apply some cool lyric/melody lines here-

I would tend to drift towards a Faulkneresque approach here vs. a Cowboy Junkies type vibe which would work really well here. Perhaps you here something else entirely.

I may take a few stabs on this myself.

Bottom line- REALLY GOOD STUFF!!

Really beautiful, Kevin. I could write a song over it, but I keep writing songs about old people getting ready to die, so that's out. lol
Very nice song.

Thank you so much. I don't know; this tune has a mystique that could fit with a person preparing for death. Ha. I handed it off to a high school buddy with a great smooth velvety voice. We'll see what he does with it.

Nice work!

Already spoken for, but these lyrics would plug in well.

Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
You fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way.
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way.

Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain.
You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you.
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun.

So you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again.
The sun is the same in a relative way but you're older,
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death.

Every year is getting shorter never seem to find the time.
Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way
The time is gone, the song is over,
Thought I'd something more to say.

Ha! Those lyrics are coupled with my all time favorite guitar solo. I don't think I'd be doing any justice plugging them into my little ditty.

I've been promised some vocals this week.

I should hand it off to a rapper too...for a slow jam.
