Would a Les Paul Custom reissue have this too if it falls in the serial range, or are they just all ebony fingerboards? Like, the black beauty '57 reissues I mean.
    Thanks!

Okay, I just did some more research on this and found this link that says that in 03, some of the customs indeed did have Brazilian boards...and the serial matched on that brazilian match generator thing...

My reading of that post is that out of the R7s made in 2003 there were 231 Customs which don't have braz boards.

What's the board look like anyway? It's easy to tell the difference between braz and ebony, but a bit harder between rosewood and rosewood!

Don't confuse Custom with Custom Shop. The Historic Standards had Brazilian boards. Customs have Ebony boards.

No, it's a Custom Custom shop reissue. It was the '57 custom from the custom shop with a serial that falls in the Brazilian range.
