    Before we start, please don't supply a link to dozin.com. What I want to know isn't there.

    By the time the 80's rolled around, Jer had standardized on the use of the preamp in one (1) fender Twin Reverb [he had 2, but one was a spare], and he fed it into a McIntosh MC2300 {stereo, 300W/side}

    And his cab was almost always a 3x12 cab with E-series JBLs.

    Here's my question: what was the connection from the McIntosh to the cab?

    - ch 1 into 1 speaker, ch 2 into 2 speakers?

    or

    - amp bridged mono into all 3 speakers in parallel [and wired to the amp's 2 ohm terminal]

    or

    - something else entirely?

    Anyone know?

    I can't point you to anything that confirms this but, I'm fairly certain both channels of the MC2300 were bridged.

    my understanding is that while things changed over the years, he ran a split out from the twin, half reverb, half dry, into the two channels of the amp. Each side of the amp drove a set of speakers, but the number of speakers seemed to change over the years (form D's to K's and then to E120's).

    have you checked this site out? http://www.wald-electronics.com

    Mark, I seem to recall reading that he only used one-half of the power amp. i.e, one of the two (since the amp is stereo) channels. So, "only" 300W.
