On the one hand I think that's kind of cool. On the other hand, the whole thing looks like the Mr Potato Head of guitars, done by a 5 year old.

Would have looked better with the Explorer head stock.

It is frankly amazing that they made the Gibson headstock design worse. Even less straight string pull, more mass, more fragile. I won't even touch on the looks because that's subjective, but wowzers.

I love les pauls (and Gibson for that matter) but I always said I'd never get caught playing one of those horrendous Deans with the huge V headstock. Sorry but that's one of the rare Les Pauls I wouldn't consider owning… I'm not a collector so it has no appeal whatsoever for me.

Hmmm... as if LP's don't have enough tuning problems already. :)

I had the chance to play one of those.

    It was actually great.

    Neck is basically a tree.

I would gig that just to annoy the Les Paul cognoscenti.

That's probably what I dislike about it the most: let's take a bunch of different oddities from different guitars and throw them in a blender. In doing so we'll ignore the question of whether these ingredients belong together, but whatever - our customers will buy anything.

People complain about the switch location on a Stratocaster... Look at that thing.
That's just what you want: a lever pickup selector, mounted vertically, right next to where you would be strumming... vertically.

    That head stock is repug.
