Anyone useing two of these together?
I have one and was wondering if you have to have a second PCI card to use them together for 16 in's????

Also is anyone useing a Q10 and a USB or firewire interfacs together for more inputs.....can it even be done?

    Thanks!

The breakout box contains little else but jack and pots--the processing takes place in the card, so yeah, you have to have the PCI card and the breakout box.

Fwiw, you can route an external mixer into the Q10 using the effects return jacks for channels 1-4, provided a special cord is made that has the tip of the plug on one end of the cable wired into the ring of the plug on the other end of the cable. The tip/hot end of the cable will connect to the mixer output, while the ring/hot end will plug into an effects return jack of the Q10. The technique is of little use if you have to have a dedicated track for every instrument, but it will allow you to use an external mixer/preamp, and multiple mics on a single track.
