    Pulled this out of the vault and gave it a spin today... Man... it's fantastic... Delicious clean tones, harmonic content and DeJohnette never fails to amaze.
    Oh, and some dude named, Dave Holland on the bass... he ain't bad, either.

    Yep, the two '70s Gateway disc were great (s/t and 2); Homecoming was a great re-grouping. Many missed In the Moment - recorded at the some time as Homecoming, but released seperately, it showcases very evocative/collective group improvisation: http://www.discogs.com/John-Abercro...ohnette-Gateway-In-The-Moment/release/2426725

    I've been fortunate enough to see the band perform twice, and to spend some time w/ them; once on the Homecoming tour, then as guests of Dave Holland when he was featured artist at the Montreal Jazz Fest a few years back.

    The Holland Homecoming tune "How's Never" knocked me out the moment I heard it. Dave has been kind enough to let me record/perform the tune over the years. So very supportive...
