So, I absolutely love the sound of my overdriven ac30cc. Having said that, I need the availability of a clean out of it, and not just use it for overdrive. Does anyone know a pedal that would produce this kind of sound? Price isn't that much of an issue....I'll go as high as around 300.

use an aby ... and use the normal channel for your clean and the topboost for the dirty. it you don't want to go that route ... i'd recomend the BJF EGDM ... great pedal.

I've been using a Tech 21 Double Drive with my Matchless and my AC30CC2. Both amps set to dead clean. One side of the Double Drive is a Class A, the other a Class A/B. Both channels can also be combined.

Pretty wicked pedal that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, either.

The Fulltone OCD will work nicely, as will a JD-10 Jerry Donahue amp simulator with the G12M switch engaged

That's what I'd try. You want a pedal to make your amp sound like itself?

Not trying to be a total wise-acre. If you need to run your amp closer to clean, try any one of the many clean boosts around today. That might be enough push for you (?)

I run my AC30 at half crank.... (everything!) and plug into the top boost channel. It gives me a nice bright clean tone. I then use a gaspedals CARB or a Crowther Hotcake to "kick it up a notch" into that nice AC30 distortion (hotcake doing a normal channel and Carb doing top boost like). Then I use the other pedal (carb or hotcake) to kick it into nasty OD/distortion.
