Hi,

I just added a Voodoo Lab Power Pedal 2 to my board and now I get a loud pop when I engage or disengage the Zendrive. I also get a pop when I push the volume pedal all the way on.

Here's the chain:
Geetar ->Tuner (Korg DT-10BK) -> Cry Baby Wah ->Ernie Ball Volume -> Zendrive -> Boss DD-3 -> Lovepedal Tremolo -> Fender Blues Deluxe

I've searched here on TGP and looked at a few other threads but I wasn't able to find any answers. I found stuff about power conditioning and stuff like that but this problem is very isolated because it wasn't there before I added the Power Pedal and immediately after adding it, the problem surfaced.

Any advice or help is much appreciated.

Pops when engaging pedals can be caused by dc offset - basically a constant voltage on the output of the pedal. It might be that the pedal isn't getting the correct power? It it deffo, for example, a 9v pedal getting 9v and not 12v?

It's just a 9v pedal. Interestingly, last night I unplugged just that pedal from the Power Pedal and powered it instead with a OneSpot. All the others I left powered with the Power Pedal. Guess what. Problem gone. But here's the strange thing. I then plugged the Power Pedal back into the Zendrive so everything was again being powered by it and now there was no more popping. I'm happy, but very confused by this and concerned that it could happen again.

Thanks for the response though.

This could also be a cable problem between pedals. I had that happen to my EWS Arion a while ago. Once I switched the patch cables the pops were gone.
