stumbled onto this in a facebook group. The guy used 1/4" automotive pinstripe decals to add binding to his tele. Quite frankly i think it looks killer.

i figured there may be someone in here who's tried it themselves, what i'm wondering is, would this work to add binding to the neck of the guitar? or do you think it'd mess with your playing?

Any input? Or more pics from guys who've tried it?

I would think you'd "feel" i...which might be weird.

Can you link to a pic of that body? I've always thought of teles as kind of hot rods, and doing "binding" in that manner not only probably looks cool, it's very fitting...

that looks pretty awesome. i wonder how well it adheres over time...

i would be hesitant to do it to the neck. i would definitely have to see it in real life, to touch it and see how raised it is. you could always give it a go and remove it if it isn't working out for you.

cool stuff though! that tele became so much more desirable to me ^___^

i found the thread in OSG, because i wanted to see the jaguar, but the photos have been deleted from the guys photobucket...

unless you put clearcoat/ polyurethane on it wouldnt it just be a sticker that would feel bad and come off eventually?

forgive me, im at work and cant view a facebook link right now.

i would image that'd be the case with the neck- the body might not need any clear coating though
