Admittedly barely intermediate at electrics but lifelong guitar player would like some suggestions. I've learned I'm a tele-lp guy at this time. Like the rock blues style (don't we all?) So for fun I bought this "inexpensive" china tele and will replace at least all the electrics. Has a double in the bridge, single in the neck, 3 way and tone/volume. Maple neck and body. Very happy with my current guitars just love playing around with guitars on a low budget. Looking for lower cost but decent pups. Havent got the guitar yet but may have to replace everything, pups for sure. I'll be scanning for a good deal on used too. If I could stay under $150 would be great. Believing the player makes the player, not the instrument per say, but I got to at least have some medium output for goodness sake!

I'mma say go used on Reverb.

You can get a premium set of Duncans or DiMarzios for under your price cap if you shop around.

Used Duncans on Reverb imo. That's what I've done when I needed pickups on a budget.

I wouldn’t hesitate to go with GFS for single coils. I used to have a strat set that sounded really nice.
