1. The Gear Page is run by musicians for musicians. We listen, we learn and if we misstep we are not afraid to do the right thing. We proposed some changes to the Emporiums. Based on feedback from members, we have decided to not go ahead with those changes. However, it has also highlighted that we need some community input into what is working and what is not working for members here. Primarily focused on the Emporiums, we'd like input on your thoughts about TGP and how things work in the Emporiums for you and how you'd improve them. The discussion thread on the is here!

    Also excluding picks and straps.

Mine is my Peterson tuner. Although owning it has really helped train my ear and I can tune better on my own now, it's my best friend on those nights my ears don't want to play ball.

Tuner, metronome, tab books, patient and understanding wife.

I think a tuner has to be the most important.
I despair when I'm in a shop and overhear a newb buying a guitar

Do you want a tuner ?
    Do I need one?

Well , the beginner book has a CD you can tune to etc etc

It should be a flogging offence to sell a guitar without a tuner.

At first I thought tuner too. But then I realized that in dire straits and with practice I could get back to some pretty good old fashioned tuning techniques...leaving room for something else??????
    ....ummmm....
    ....uhhhh....

    Can I stash this wish???

Probably my tuner. Sucks playing out of tune, but barring tuner being an option, I'd say it's my overdrive pedal. If I could only pick one thing to pop my leads, that'd be it.

I think it's a very good OD pedal. (Unless you can crank your amp up)

But since I can tune 100% correctly by ear, I will go with the tuner...:)
