Anyone got an 18 watt Aiken Invader for sale? I'd take a head or combo any color.

I have an Invader, but there's no way it's for sale. :) Just want to brag about what an absolutely incredible amp it is and re-assure that you're doing a good thing!

Discontinued because everyone wanted INVADERS, but they were too labor-intensive.

    Invaders eat Tomcats.

    Hell, Invaders eat people.

I have never, in all of my time reading about amps, read a single negative review of an Aiken. Any Aiken.

    dukew,
I have a 1x12 Mk 1 Invader I've been thinking of selling. This thread should probably be in the WTB section, so PM me if you would like to discuss this further.

Can Randall convert an MK1 to MK2? Just out of curiosity...

I also have an Invader ... that I'm not selling. Awesome amp! I bought mine a couple of months ago, and there were two others on the market then as well. If you can't find one now, just keep trying. Your ears and fingers will thank you.

Sorry guys - this one eats BOTH of those alive :dude

Aiken Intruder - 30 watts of EL34 powered mayhem. This might be one of the finest amps ever built by anybody. Run it with 6V6's and it's just chewy...put some Yellow Jackets in and it's an Intruder...

    I love this freakin amp.

The Mk1 mas more features than the MK11. THe Invader is a killer amp. I had one for over 3 years. Wonderful cleans and a great reverb if you're into that. I now own a Tomcat. It ate the Invader.

I have a 30 watt Intruder as well.

What 6V6s have you tried with it? I've run it with the new Tung Sol 5881s and some different EL34s. What tone/feel difference do you get with the 6V6s? I may want to try that.

    Great amp, BTW.

The Tomcat cranked sounds too harsh for me. I love that smooth, gorgeous, crunchy tone of my Invader.

Seriously. Look for this amp to be the next Dumble. :) Soon, our Aikens will be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars (OK, the next 10x Dumble) because of how awesome they sound.

I gotta say... I am just so floored by my purple Invader Mk2 1x12. My experience with botique amps is limited to a 2x10 Chieftain, 1x12 Maz Jr., and 1x8 Allen Class Act. But I really can't ever imagine getting rid of it.

They've been rare lately in the FS market, but every once in awhile one pops up on eBay for a great price.
