    Hey, Luis here!

A couple of months back Al di Meola came to my town for a gig and we invited him to visit my workshop.

He tried several acoustic guitars but he put his eyes and hands on the hybrid model ... he loved it! And now we're working on a guitar which is specially being made under his specs, but taking this guitar appearing on the video as a basis.

    It's specs are:
    Canadian Cedar soundboard
Amazonian Rosewood on back And sides
    Flamed Maple Neck
    Ebony Fingerboard with maple
Exotic Ebony on Cutaway, Rosette and Headstock
    Madagascar rosewood bridge
Gotoh 510 Series Aluminium tuner machines
    D´Addario EXP Strings

Here you have the video demo ... hope you like it!

That is fantastic. I imagine that building a guitar for DiMeola is a serious thrill. Congratulations. He is one of my all time favorite players and the guitar sounded beautiful. Well done sir.

Yes, Bajan, it's a real challenge; but it also proves that I'm building great guitars ... Al di Meola is no amateur in this business, you know what I mean ...

    Thanx for your comment!!

    Hi folks.

I can't create a for sale thread, 'cos I need to be a supporting member, but just for your info the guitar appearing on this video is now for sale.

    Thanx for watching!

    Congratulations Luis.

Does anybody else here think that Al D. looks like Clapton?

Nice sounds, but there's just something that seems wrong playing a nylon guitar with a pick.

    Hello Luis,

The guitars look great. Can you give us some idea on pricing?

Also, you're website has been hacked. Ask your webmaster to take a look at the html source as somebody has injected many spam links within your code.

The website works ok now ... www.luisguerreroguitars.com

The basic price of our guitars is 2500€ and all models feature the following materials as a basis:

    Spruce or Cedar soundboard
Indian Rosewood on back and sides
    Cedar or Mahogany neck
    Ebony fingerboard
    Ebony or Madagascar ebony bridge
    Flamed maple binding
    Exotic ebony rosette
    Gotoh 510 series tuners
    Hiscox pro II case
    Satin finish

Now in stock we have 2 models:

the Hybrid model, which is a blend of a classical and a flamenco guitar (tested and approved by Al di Meola himself) at the price of 3500€; and the F series at the price of 2500€; both to be lacquered at the customer's liking.

For more options (i.e. different woods, cutaway, arm bevel, esthetic details ...) the price varies depending on the customer's requirements.

We're now on the build process of two fanned frets acoustics for a couple of customers ... pics will be available pretty soon.

Build time is only 2 months because we have a small production yet, but we have a lot of work until June.

    Thanx
    Luis
