    Both are excellent, but I'm leaning towards electric pre-1983.

    cannot abide the acoustic material, I like his RTF Les Paul tones personally.

    Electric for me too . . . I like the stuff he did on his Tour De Force - "Live" album.

    Acoustic.... The Grande Passion is my fave of his.
    I prefer his hollowbody tone out of his electrics... he has a great hollowbody sound when he uses it.
