After a long period of gathering the pieces and finishing the wood, it's about time to start putting it together... The wood is Warmoth (1pc featherweight Swamp Ash / slight birdseye maple), which i finished in waterbased lacquer for the body and Tung Oil for the neck. It's a total vintage construction. The hardware is from Callaham, plus the electrics. The cap is a N.O.S Sprague Vitamin Q paper in oil, .033uF. The pickups are Lollar Tweeds. The frets are 6105 and the nut is from Stew-Mac (unbleached bone). The body needs a few refinements, and then i'll shield the cavities with copper and star ground the whole thing a-la guitarnuts. There are a lot of things to be done, but this is the BEST part of the whole process... I'll soon post more pics.
