After a long period of gathering the pieces and finishing the wood, it's about time to start putting it together...

The wood is Warmoth (1pc featherweight Swamp Ash / slight birdseye maple), which i finished in waterbased lacquer for the body and Tung Oil for the neck.

    It's a total vintage construction.

The hardware is from Callaham, plus the electrics. The cap is a N.O.S Sprague Vitamin Q paper in oil, .033uF.

    The pickups are Lollar Tweeds.

The frets are 6105 and the nut is from Stew-Mac (unbleached bone).

The body needs a few refinements, and then i'll shield the cavities with copper and star ground the whole thing a-la guitarnuts.

There are a lot of things to be done, but this is the BEST part of the whole process...

    I'll soon post more pics.

    Very nice!

    What's the neck radius?

Please post pics when you're done.

    Thanks!

    It's a total vintage, so it's 7.25"

    I'll definitely post more pics!

I have used a lot of callaham parts. Love the Bridges. I also love a tung oil maple neck.

    Sweet
I'm doing a similar guitar: 3 LB Warmoth 1 piece swamp ash, but with a USACG '54 b.e. maple 7.25-9.5"
I need one like a hole in the head, but it's too fun to finish and build. And you never know what the outcome will be... In a sick way, that's part of the fun too
