Alesis 3630 compressor adapter

    My bass player lost the ac adapter to his 3630. Looks like it uses 9v ac 830 mA. I've got a Harman ac adapter from an old Digitech RP100 that is ac 9v 1300 mA. Think it's safe to use on the Alesis 3630? BTW, the Harman has a red tip on the end of the barrel. Don't think the Alesis did. Not sure if that means anything.

    It will work fine with the Alesis. The 1300ma is probably better since the one that came with the box was a little under-powered. Voltage is regulated inside the 3630 once it is converted to DC.

    The tip polarity does not matter since this is an AC output.
