figured 'what the hell' stuck a few boss pedals on a board to see what it would sound like. Only boss
Not bad but I couldn't gig with only these.
Will do a Vwah section later!

I thought that sounded fantastic. Really amazingly good. I think it goes to show that Boss do indeed make some great boxes. I also think it goes to show how much tone is in the player. I sure as hell would not sound as good as you with that set up if I was using the 'best' set up in the world.

    Once again, great sounds.

    What amp were you using?

Thanks guys, it was more of an experiment.
On my regular board I use most of these pedals but in conjunction with many other things that balance out the buffering. I have a level booster at the beggining of the chain and it wipes out any tone loss.
I wouldn't be able to gig with this board as a standalone because I would miss all the varieties of drive I have.
I could definately feel some tone sucking going on compared to my big board.
It seems these pedals sound 100% better in my real setup than they do as standalones IMHO.

The amp was a Laney VC30 - everything at noon recorded direct into the PC with a cheapy condenser.

Here's an in depth on the big board for reference:

I think most of you have seen them already though.

I didn't know Jeff Healy used BOSS BTW. Sadly missed. I analysed tons of his stuff when my arthritis threatened to put an end to my career and learnt so much from him in terms of alternative technique. Literaly months of playing lap style.

Great demo - should be shown to everybody who thinks non-boutique pedals are holding them back.

Awesome! That OD-3 is pretty badass.

Oh and your playing isn't bad either... ;)

I am really intrigued by the way you've routed your signal such that you can blend in the AC2!

Go for it! can't loose anything, and you can thicken out just about any sound by adding the AC2/3 in that way. The home vid doesn't do it much justice though. I will try to get some TV footage of tonight's gig, we are filming for a lifestyle show and I should have a full gig volume recording of it. I don't loike it as an acoustic sim but as a "super-clean" pedal it's great. I only ever use it in the dual application anyway.
