I have a few bucks and had been toying around with picking up a Tele but then bagged it. Then I started looking for pedals (boutique and non), but just couldn't really find anything that made me go "woah, I gotta have THAT!" I was thinking about an FDII MOSFET, but already have an FDII with comp cut. Nothing's really making me twitch.

    Anything I'm missing?

Probably not, but I'd be very careful, anyway.. I, too, was lulled into a sense of complacent contentment till I got blindsided by a very expensive guitar I stumbled across while buying some picks last month.

I'm going back to buying strings online and spending my free time here in the FX forum, where it's relatively safe:crazyguy

Get a good acoustic, or how about a 12-string?

Not really... you're perfectly sane ;)

I too have hit that point... went around the block with Lovepedal, BJF, etc. etc. Kept some, sold some. Now I'm at the point where I'm happy with what I have, but occasionally try stuff out just to satiate curiosity. It's not that mad push that's like, "I need to get that tone!".

Will there be future purchases? Sure. But it's not because something isn't working with what I already have. Little to no GAS right now, or the "This costs a lot of money and is wired with cable forged in the heart of the sun! It must be good!" syndrome; been disappointed way too many times with that thought. I could tell the GAS was mostly gone after I realized, for the 1st time in a while, that the buzz around a certain few new pedals wasn't infecting me and I just passed on buying them without feeling any cravings.

With the exception of my COT-50 occasionally, I'm pretty much at the "straight into the amp" stage right now, but never say never. :D

Thanks for making me feel weird!!! I never thought I'd ever get to the point where I wasn't really jonesing to buy a piece of gear. Been surfing some of the online retailers and still nothing. Though I guess there's ALWAYS room for another fuzz!

That happened to me for a few months but then I just sold half my pedals and have 3 coming to me this week. It will come back to bite you again, don't worry.

I just posted the same basic thing over in the pub. If we don't get a keys player, I guess I'm going to have to get a HOG, but I don't really want to.
