Which model of theirs is similar to a BF twin or super?
The Old Flame is based on the BF Super reverb.
Thats gonna be the one I get as soon as I can convince the wife that three amps just aint enough.
The Old Flame is based on a Super reverb, the Encore is based on a Vibrolux Reverb and the Accomplice is based on the Deluxe Reverb. There are no current models based on a Twin, but there may been in the past.
Allen is not currently making anything based on the Twin, but he used to make the ToneSavor. I had one in a head that was a thing of beauty, but way more than I needed. You'll see them up for sale every once in a while, but don't hold your breath.
The Encore with a single 12 is pretty similar to the accomplice.
Playing and Old Flame right now, with 6l6's it might be "twinish" but I dont think Allen makes anything atm right now with enough power to be Twin clean and loud.
I can't wait to finish my Encore. About 1/2 way through it (not including building the cab)
Not too late to go 2x12 for that Encore. :AOK
Eventually maybe. I am breaking in my new 12 in the old flame till I finish up my chassis and cab.
