Fillmore east? Isn't one just an expanded version, same songs plus a few more?
There are three versions. The original, "The Fillmore Concerts" and the "Deluxe Edition".

This Wiki entry explains it pretty well:

Worth noting is that the version of "Trouble No More" on Eat A Peach is a different performance than the version on the Fillmore releases. Better pick up EAP too. =)

"The Fillmore Concerts" sounds tinny, imo. The mix is weird, too. Well, the two are related, I guess. The Deluxe Edition, IIRC, keeps everything in the original order, then the bonus tracks. That's the one to grab, imho.

Notice some songs have different lengths and some state "second show".
I thought I read somewhere the solo's are different.

I bought the Filmore Concerts CD in the early 90s and was my first introduction to the Allman Brothers along with First Set. I didn't even find out until a few years ago that that one wasn't the original release.

There are rumors that a new Fillmore Box set is in the works which may include previously unreleased versions - 6 shows were recorded over a 3 day period so there's a lot of potential material there.
