Picked up a lefty Mexi today for 150 in mint shape. Seconds in I was doing my best Ritchie Blackmore impressions. Damn I missed having a strat.

Now for a setup, bone nut, and a set of Lace pups.

While a Strat has been my go to axe for many years, I usually fall short playing the friggin' things with my VaughnC impressions. One day I'll get those 12 notes in the right sequence ;).

I once told a bandmate that I learned not to get caught without a Strat. Even though I play Gibsons almost all the time, I NEED a Strat in my hands every once in a while.

Good luck, I never can get them in the right order at the right time!

Knopfler, Clapton & SRV were formative influences in my early learning/playing. I go back & forth from playing a Strat for that sound/feel to not playing it because I sound like a watered down version of them.

after a long hiatus trying other guitars my strat is my #1 again. same guitar i gigged with during and then after college. i feel bad it sat in a case for so long not getting love but i am making up for it now. sometimes you just have to see what else is out there to realize how much you love something.

My '89 spent a lot of case time & now it's my most used guitar again.

I have 2 Strats and I love 'em both. A Strat just feels right in my hands, and always has - I feel like I play better on a Strat for some reason.
Edited to say: hey Bob - ^ one of mine is an '89 also.
