Sounds like Yngwie to me. Not necessarily typical of his solos but recognizable, nonetheless. I like it, and I like the mix on this album more than his recent work.

I have always loved this tune and solo. His rhythm tone is killer, and his touch and technique are killer. This harkens back to his stuff with Alcatrazz. I love when he plays in the context of a song. Of course, the instrumentals are unrivaled in intensity. One of my favorite guitarists.

Dude is a phenomenal player without any question.

Dude is not a phenomenal "rock" song writer without any question.

That said - I do like a lot of his instrumental/classical pieces.

Too much feeling, not enough notes.
Laughed at this at first cause I thought you were kidding, but ya maybe, he really works the benders here. Still I like his bravado when he hangs it out there with the single note stuff.

Fine playing. Great tone.

My only criticism might be that I can't remember the notes he played after the song is over; e.g. I couldn't mimic or hum what he did afterward. Other guitarists maybe don't play with as much precision and skill, but their music and melody stays in my head longer after the song is over.

"I hate Yngwie and his soulless playing doesn't do anything for me WHATSOEVER."

Signed, a Smiths fan.
