Aluminum Pick Guard for better tone?

I plan on building a partscaster type guitar and am trying to decide on a pickquard. Does aluminum conduct better tone? Or do most boutique guitar makers just stick with the plastic ones with foil shield?

An aluminum pickguard will change the tone of the guitar. For the better or worse? For you to decide. It does make the guitar alittle darker and less "lively".

It also feels cold when you touch it compared to plastic.

An aluminum pickguard can tend to be microphonic with the bridge pickup when you are using some gain. Beware, they can squeal like crazy.
