So this weekend I bought a particularly good new American Standard Strat. I didn't research it or anything as it was a whim thing after bonding with it at the store.

The Fender website claims it has a "copper-infused high-mass block". Does that mean it's zinc? steel?

Anyway, I was wondering whether the Callaham block is a worthy upgrade in this case.

Also looking for suggestions in the way of other upgrads, pickups, electronics, etc.

I means steel powder stuck together with a low melting point metal to keep down the cost .
This trem is actually OK but the Gotoh 510 TS has a machined block with locking studs and a tension adjustable arm mech ,better than the callaham.
