Figured I’d contribute since I put this rig together with the idea of atmosphere. I’m also incorporating a Moog Grandmother and attempting to learn my Elektron Digitakt.

I've made a few recent found-footage videos to accompany sections of a
rambling exploration of the Drolo Stamme[n] V1 and V3 (also with the
    Montreal Assembly Count To 5).

    Perhaps more textural than ambient?

Setting up a really minimalist ambient rig for an audition in a couple of days... the song we're doing is called "Belly of the Whale", and I have two distinct parts. One is clean-ish phaser arpeggios, the other is, well... what does it sound like to be in the belly of the whale? And I need to transition quickly live, with a rig that takes no more than a couple of minutes to set up.

Rig is fuzz, into a Wilson Haze vibe for phaser/wobble, and my old two knob WET reverb that I like because it's so easy to change size/mix with my foot on the fly. Plus a Strat with a floating trem to pull up as well as down for the whale sounds.

It seems to sound good... I just need to work the volume knob for clean/dirty and the reverb size knob for small/huge at the same time, while also cleanly transitioning from the ambient low-string whale noises to the high, fast arpeggios.

    I love playing guitar.

If I could manage to balance both ambient and textural music, would that make me ambitextrous?

Ok folks - I need some help. Here’s my pedal collection. What order/settings do I need to go with to get the best ambient pad/trails/swells sound? I’m having a hard time getting a good pad sound. Am I missing something?

2 synths and a guitar: Scott Sharon (trapz, appz, synth), Gary Rich (MalletKat, Bass) and myself (guitar, loops) warming up for an epic Lunar reunion last August. Both tracks part of our studio "soundcheck" in SoCal.

The following was made using mostly a Boss TE2 plus a Boss DD3 and I used a Walrus Audio Slo for a very short bit near the end and used a Rat2 for the solo near the end. The Bass and Drums were from a Digitech Trio and I may have stepped on my my Phase 90 but I honestly cannot Recall not can I hear it obviously on but I can’t say I didn’t use it for a bit but this is mostly TE2 on the standard Tera Echo setting... everything at noon.
