Boooo... the cool colors are maple board only.

I'll probably buy one of these though.

I think the maple board is refreshing. I'm sure more rosewood options will be coming out over the next year.

I'm thrilled the teles have the ash trays. Played one at GC, and I loved the neck.

Love the features, not digging the color combination though. Maybe they'd look a lot cooler with a rosewood board, or maybe the neck would look a lot cooler with different body colors.

Yeah grey and olive would be banging with a rosewood board. Fender are some slow pokes.

I also don't like the simplified controls. Why fender can't just make the jag and jazzmaster that needs to be made is beyond me.

Looks like the jags have the Johnny Marr mod, not the traditional set of switches.

These guitars show that Fender has been listening..,

But I do like a rythym circuit but Im thinking with the 4 way switch with the Jag you might be able to mimic it. I'd love to play one and see.

I like the mystic seafoam jazzmaster. Wood play.

If the position markers on the maple fingerboard were black blocks I might actually develop GAS.

Yikes. putting the pickup selector on top is a mistake. My Troy Van Leeuwen JM has a toggle up there instead of the slider for the Jazz circuit. I often hit it accidentally when I'm playing. The lower horn just makes more sense to me. It looks like these have the same bridge as the Troy V with the brass saddles. It works well but mine needed to be shimmed to level out the strings. I still think the Troy Van is the best JM you can buy for the money right now. I do like the treble bleed though. Might Mod mine.

That olive colour has inspired me to start shopping parts for a new Jaguar build today. It (or something close to it) is going to look great with a roasted maple & dark rosewood fingerboard.

Oh man the seafoam or sonic grey with the Zissou logo on the body would be sweet...

Is it just me or the Low E string looks like it would go right off the fretboard way too easily on the higher frets?

...Just don't ever wear khaki cargo shorts while playing it, you'll get kidnapped by the Eddie Bauer police..!
