    Hey guys,
I'm thinking about getting a new amp and wanted some experienced opinions. I've been playing with a Les Paul and a Vox AC15 and I like both, but not necessarily together. I'm looking for an amp with a bit more headroom, less gnarly highs, and a less chunky tube distortion that will work well with my guitar for pop/rock stuff. I like the 1x12 size and won't go much bigger, but a bit smaller would be okay. Any suggestions as to what I should look in to? Thanks!

Check out the line of Fenders or clones, depending on your budget. They will usually be cleaner (if dialed-in that way).

The new model Hot Rod Deluxe is a surprisingly good amp. Not really high gain, but very smooth distortion. Plenty of head room too.

Check out the Hughes & Kettner Tubemeister 18 Twelve combo.
I have the head and cabinet, and it's sweet.

or Egnator Tweaker 15. It was next on my list.
