Gonna be doing a run of shows this summer in Milwaukee. Does anyone know of a place that does rental by the week on decent, stageworthy amps?

I can't recall the name but there is a huge production company here with backline. Those stores will give you their info if they can't get you what you want.

Casio does a lot of the amps for Summerfest, but I'd probably call Cream City first just to see what they say. Are you just looking for a Twin or Deluxe?

    Probably Select Sound?

I've done gigs on the Summerfest stage before with provided Dual Rectifiers. Can't remember the name of the company or backline provider.

I'm looking for 50 watt head minimum. 100 watts would be better. Fender Supersonic, Marshall, HiWatt, Mesa...anything like that would work.

I'm doing 8 consecutive shows. Usually I can get through any one-nighter with just about anything, but for a long run, I'd like to be comfortable. I actually have a 4x12 in Milwaukee already.

    I'll check out Select Sound.

Yeah it sucks to learn a new amp each night. Even if it's technically the same model they're all different.

Was going to say if the timing was right you could use something of mine, but I actually don't have anything over 50 watts (unless you want a Polytone Minibrute). :p

Try contacting Clearwing Productions. Pretty sure they rent backline gear.

I'd give Uncle Bobs a call or contact them. If they don't rent amps I'm sure they will know who does. Good bunch of guys running it for many years.

Clearwing does the sound for Summerfest and they provide the backline, AFAIK.

Yeah, Clearwing was the sound company I was trying to think of. We've worked a ton of shows with those guys in the past, and they've always been great! It's good to see they're still around.

Thanks guys....Clearwing sounds familiar to me. I know Uncle Bob's as well. We're usually there a couple of time a year.
