    Hi Gang,

I've been approached by a studio with the
    following for amp rentals.

    Small:

    6V6 & EL84 output...

Fender Vibro Champ, PrincetonReverb, Deluxe Reverb
    Marshall 18 watt, Maz Jr.

    Med:

    6L6 & EL34

    VibroluxReverb, Pro Reverb, SuperReverb
    JTM 45, Plexi 50, JCM800.

    Large:

    4+ 6L6,EL34,6550

    TwinReverb, SuperTwinReverb, Marshall 100W
    or 200W, Bass amp.

    Small $45/Day $200/week (7day)
    Med $65/Day $300/week (7day)
    Lrg $85/day $400/week (7day)

Is this a fair deal? or are these rates low/high?

    Please advise,

    The Nerdy One

If you own the gear and are renting it, it's very fair.

If you're the one renting the gear, it's a ripoff.

Don't most studios have a selection of nice amps that are included in the hourly rate? I know we do.

Geez, people who record at my place get to use my Two-Rock (uh...when i have one...;)).

I have been to studios that rent gear from other outfits and I've had to pay; Right Track in NYC comes to mind, as do others.

Oh, you have to be kidding.
    The number is disconnected
    or no longer working.

    Go figure.

    sorry, dude.

I've never used them, just had it in my contacts. I don't think they're out of business though. I'll see if I can find new contact info and post it if I find it. I think this is Johnny Colt's company. Anyone else have the contact info?

    Sorry I missed this earlier...

They moved a while ago and call themselves Avatar Events. (404) 589-9450. I usually speak to Joanie.
