Suppose I wanted to start with the general musicality of a Fender '59 Bassman circuit (or similar), but then:
    - I want tighter bass with less flab and flub,
    - I want steadier projection and a more consistent sound from the axis,
    - I want fewer speakers,
    and
    - I could deal with a tad less wattage.

Is there such an amp in this idiom?

Maybe a scaled version of the Marshall JTM-50?

The Kustom tube amps do tweed, with more headroom, very well. You can also dial up Marshall, backface, and blackface with more Mids.

    Thanks, guys.

Does anyone make a closed-back 2x10 combo with "American" tube compliment and a Tweed-ish circuit?
