I would like to do a shootout with some gear that I may have an interest in purchasing for the studio.

If you have one of these amps then perhaps you would like to bring it, sort of a I'll show you mine you show me yours type of thing.

I am looking at testing (again)

    Bogner Duende
    Komet Constellation
    D'lite 44
Fuch ODS I prefer at least a 50 watter
    Two Rock CRS2
Two rock classic II or III

I would also like to try one of smitty of Bluetrons amps, a Rory Gallagher strat.

You will have the opportunity to also test out some or possibly all of my amps for comparison purposes. I have about 38 of them. Look at my myspace page for some of what I have. Pm me if you are interested.

Not that I have what you want, but where in SoCal? If you're in between here and there, you must be in Irvine...lol

I'm in Ventura about 20 minutes south of Santa Barbara but the shootout will most likely take place at the studio in Santa Clarita 20 minutes north of LA.

    Hey Brother,

Depending on when it is, I could bring a Constellation down. Should I bring a cab to go with it?

Not necessary but if you have a favorite cabinet sure. I have a couple of the marshall HW cabs as well as a few vintage cabs and Bogner, etc. I figure once I get at least 4 of the amps I want then I set a date with everyone. If you come I have 3 of the amps.

I'm tied up the weekend of April 25th, but other than that consider me (and Connie) in!

    Looking forward to it -

Trying not to be a shill, but how did the D'Lite 44 hold up against the big guns?

Not really on your list, but I've got a Bogner Shiva with a Voodoo amps mod and a Mark Cameron modded 10 watt single ended EL34 head. Plus some cool pedals - Fuchs Valve Job, BB Plus, new Menatone Kar Krash, Reefer sitar simulator, Vintage Ibanez OD-9 (like a fuzz face on steroids), Duncan Shapeshifter Tremelo, Zendrive 2...

Other than the headroom because of the wattage (which is being increased for me ;) It was very, very good. The Bluemonkey, Bluesmaster is a must have for the studio. I highly recommend this amp. It was the favorite right along with the Glaswerks and my Stark Fire AMP 80 watter. It has more of a BF fendery side but still has the D glass thing going on in the cleans. THe overdrive was very sticky, warm and all the other buzz words that make a great OD/lead channel.
