    Hi All

    Is there a tilt-back amp stand for something like a 1974 Orange OR80 2x12. Big 2x12 . . . and heavy.

I am worried the one's I see online are going to buckle sooner rather than later (I'd prefer never).

    Thanks!

I bought one of those cheap black Musician's Friend branded amp stands and it was no match for the Heaviest Combo in the World(tm), my Tremoverb. The amp stand is adjustable so I had it elevated a few notches and the locking mechanism broke within a week. However, I moved the arms all the way down so that they met the base of the amp stand (ie. it's metal on metal, no latches) and it's worked like a champ since.

I have one for my Mark V. If it can hold that pig it can handle anything. It's super portable and easy to set up, too.

I had a Standback flattened by a '59 Bassman RI once, but it looks like they've upgraded the strength/design since then.
