I'll be making weekly trips to Houston on business for the next 8-9 weeks or so, and would like to know if there are stores that sell cool amps -- /13, Diezel, Carr, Bogner, Fuchs, Two Rock, etc. Any suggestions?

The Guitar Center on Westheimer had a decent enough selection in their isolated room last time I was in there. A few Top Hats, Carr, Bogner and high end Marshalls.

Rockin' Robin usually has some Carrs, Louis Electric, etc.

Evans has some excellent McNaughts, Tom Andersons, Fender relics, Hamer, Laravie accousticals, etc.

Great guys as are the other ones that work at GC, RR, Infinity. Don't forget Fullers.

If your looking for a 1968 100W Marshall /White Back Red Head and Matching cab, Magnatone, BF Twin, Super, Deluxe, Champ, BF Deluxe, Champ, Silvertone/matching cab etc. you will find them in Houston.

Diamond Studios is bustin ass now.

Kendrick, Dabeck, Shamrock, Diamond, etc. are within driving distance.

Enjoy your visit. Johnny Winters was awesome Friday Night. Played through a Music Man Amp. Absolutely some of the slickest sounding -at your wish :RoCkIn- OD- I have heard in along time.

I went there once with a friend before they moved locations to check out some Nash's - first off he didn't have any in stock and secondly - everything else was like Squire - level equipment.... I was very disappointed.

Stores bigger now, not huge. Randy is a great guy and he does get good stuff....still you have to sell the beginner stuff if you are going to make a living!
