Can anyone tell me what a decent price would be for an Ampeg VH-140C (combo, solid state)?

I can't find much info on them, or if anyone knows of a previous thread, just post it. Thanks!

    I wouldn't pay more than $400 for one, and that's a stretch.
It's a great solid state metal amp, but a 5150 for very little extra is miles better.
If you really want to try one, the Crate Shockwave isn't that different. Apparently it's based of the same circuit board, and can be found for about half the price.
Bottom line; it's a cool amp, but that are many in the same price range or cheaper that are better......solid-state Randall's, cheaper Peaveys, or just an Amptweaker Tight Metal through the fx loop of anything!

Thanks man, yes its less than $400, i liked the stereo option on this combo. It seems like you could get a pretty wide range of sounds. sounds like it takes pedals pretty well, and i could use the stereo chorus in a jazzier/fusion project I'm currently doing.

plus if you want gain, it seems to have plenty on tap
