Fun stuff guys! Any of you thinking of heading to that tonefest in southern CT? I might head up there with the Bowery Tele or Artinger Blondie Jr. and giving it a go. I'm sure they'd love to see some of this magnificent pile of gear you've got collected here!

The Concorde? That's a hell of an amp. I've been getting to know that one pretty well. I have it for a few more weeks...I'm doing some clips and a review of it. Then the K19.

I liked/had good moments on all the amps yesterday- no clunkers in the bunch.

The 53 GT and 58 335 are pretty off the charts guitars. As was this 1970 tele- you can see its headstock in the first picture...the one where I've got plumber butt (pic now gone?).

There was also a Park from 196? that was looking so cool, but it's owner had to split before we could hear it.

Yep, that's a JJ bari in the background (gettin' no love yesterday)

There was a whole acoustic room too...old gibbies martins and nationals. Good stuff.

CT? I don't think so. I'll keep it local until my wife gives birth to #2 son.

Damn it Jack...............where is the UA?

You simply can't get any good tones with those amps without the UA...........now c'mon..........get it right!

There were two of Mr. Ho's attenuators with FX loops and a Richter clone (not used) Mine's in the rack and the other is on top of the Marshall in the first pic.

Jack,

I see it...................you know I am kidding.....also looks like it did not get much use.......

I bet Barry's Glaswerks would have sounded so much better with the UA....:p

No hell given man. You were just strirring up ****. Like you are now...it's OK. We know what's going on. That's just you. If you say no harm...cool.

For everyone else-

I see the UA/Ho as a must have for amps that rely on the power amp being driven and some tranny saturation as part of the tone- if volume is a concern. To me I think they benefit old Marshalls and Voxes- perhaps a tweed Fender, though I can't speak to those as I have never owned one. Amps like the GW are engineered for MV circuits from day one. Their tone is in the pre-amp and the power amp is mainly reproducing the pre tone. Yes, it may sound better when the power amp is wound up a bit, but not to the extent seen/heard in an old NMV marshall for sure.

J. Carter- As for the Komet clips, they'll be a little while, but they'll be good I promise.
