Ah! This is cool! This is what I was hoping to see/hear at ocean way the other day, but it turned out that I sat in on a T-Racks 3 demonstration deal. Still pretty cool stuff.

From what I can tell, this stuff sounds purty good.

Glad to hear it! All of the amps truly do sound superb but the '59 Bassman is incredible! Also I am partial to the Super Sonic and the '65 Twin Reverb. Must hear them to believe how close they sound to the real deal!!

You can check out a 10 day trial version at the below link:

Enjoy! Any questions, please PM me or post.

    Thanks.

Ah yes, IK is hosting a round of T-Racks 3 Master Classes at a variety of locations, including Ocean Way. Sorry if you were hoping to check out the AmpliTube Fender while there, the class is specifically about T-Racks 3 and how to master and mix using the software!

Currently, the best ways to check out AmpliTube Fender is through the 10 day trial version (just posted the link above), our website, other forums, and YouTube. IK has a dedicated channel with lots of great videos. Visit the link for YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/user/ikmultimedia

    Hope this helps!

    Thanks.

My thoughts too. This is really a step beyond, esp. the cleans. The cabs were useless before, they must've gotten that down somehow. Downloading the demo right now.

I bought it last night via download from the IK Site and played with it a bit.
Gonna hack into it a bit more today.
    So far so good.
Thanks for including the Fender Blender pedal.

I just finished a review of Amplitube Fender on my site. Check it out at: http://guitargear.org/2009/03/17/gear-review-ik-multimedia-amplitube-fender/.

I'm totally sold on using Amplitube Fender for recording projects! Even though nothing beats the response you get from a real amp, for recording without having to worry about ambient sound (for me, that sound is caused by the pitter-patter of little childrens' feet), this software is the BOMB!

Way to go, IK! You've made me a believer!

great stuff. I've used guitar rig for years but I think you just knocked the socks off of that. Is your customer support good? ;)

My only quibble is the models.

On the IK website it says...
"12 of the most influential guitar amps of all time"

    Really?
    These two are "influential"?
    MH-500 Metalhead™?
    Champion™ 600?

Instead of a Blackface Super Reverb?
It's bit sacrilegious to leave it out if you are listing "influential" Fender amps.

I've already been asked by a guitarist doing a session, when I pitched him on using this flavor of Amplitube, "where's the Super Reverb"
His next question was, "what about Neil Young's setup?"

Put those in the update please.

I suspect the twin can do the super reverb and their tweed can do the neil young. The Champion is obviously a fender champ and the metal head is some type of marshall...

VERY NICE, Krank! Can't even tell that it's software, which is totally amazing!

Thanks! I'm starting to feel we're at the point where it's actually worth spending the time with software. So far IK is at the top of the game. Only drawback is a big CPU hit + latency; really needs a fast interface to monitor through the program while recording.

Totally agree. I have a pretty fast computer now, but the USB interface (MBOX2) has some inherent lag. It's not nearly as bad as it was when I was running on my old computer, but there's still a bit. I just make sure there's enough of my dry tone in the signal to keep in time.

Just a thought... perhaps more RAM would help. I've got 4GB on my machine and haven't run into any software slowness - only from the latency in my MBOX 2.

XP can only address 2gb of memory unless you set a special startup setting and if you're running vista, the OS overhead negates the extra memory.

That's too bad. I use a Mac. And no, that's just a fact, and not flame bait. :)
