Amps that look like vintage '30's art deco radios

What are the options? I'm looking for something like a '30's wooden art deco portable (not floor) radio. NOT a Fender Greta-type cheapo superficial replica. This is my only hope to keep an amp full time in my living room so all ideas welcome!

I just looked at the Trillium site; I hadn't heard of them until reading this thread. Wow, they are beautiful. I'm curious; does anyone know what they sell for?

Wow, these are all beautiful amps. The Ark ones are quite interesting - modern deco, very cool. Prices tend to be astronomical on most of them, though. I'm thinking it might be more cost effective to just buy an old non-working radio in good external condition and pay my tech to build me amp guts in the chassis.

Yes, this. Probably put a head together for less than $500, then just get a nice finished wood cab w/ an old timey cloth.

Though if you can spare the bucks, there are some awful nice looking amps floating around ...

I have an old Bakelite " Jewel " radio I have been planning on putting a 6aq5 Champ based amp in.
I was going to set up the pointer as a volume knob.

Same as the picture below except mine still has the purple ink in the engraved labeling.

Mine is slightly older by maybe a year or 2, it has a smooth top instead of the ridge/peak.
It is hard to get these without cracks, that was the original reason I popped the $2.00 at a garage sale for it. (plus it powers up)
