Analog Delay Advice (Looking to nix my DL4 for smaller footprint)

How's everyone doing over here at TGP? It's been a while since my last post since hanging around these parts resulted in a significantly smaller balance in my bank account.

I'm trying to reduce the size of my pedal board and my delay problem. Current set up is a DD3, RV3, DL4, and Akai Headrush. The RV3 and DD3 are working their way off my board (Headrush is the loop so that has to stay) and I'd like to move from the DL4 to something with a smaller footprint.

The setting I'm looking to find in stompbox form is the analog with modulation setting. I know it's modeled after the DMM (also a massive footprint), but I still the longer delay time not found on the DMM/Memory Boy/Toy. I also toyed with the Carbon Copy and the delay was maybe 50ms shorter than I needed and I wasn't happy with the depth of the modulation.

Any suggestions to check out? Something under $200 would be ideal.

if you like the dl4, and are just looking for smaller, maybe you should check out the m5. it's 199

I haven't heard much about the M5. How does it hold up to the DL4?

I've been out of the loop gear-wise for about year and a half, since if I start to educate myself, I end up going broke.

by most accounts it's considered better than or equal to (sound wise). but you also get the option of running any other line 6 effect (mod, filter, drive, verb). but only one at a time

Bumping this thread, rather than creating a new one.

I'm looking to do the same thing.... bumping my DL4 as well as my Carbon Copy off my board to replace with one delay pedal with tap tempo. While I prefer analog, the new pedal doesn't have to be analog. I would also like to stay away from MIDI options given I'll never use it, so no point in adding to the cost with that option. Any opinions based on what has worked for others moving from the larger DL4 and possibly something smaller like the Carbon Copy to one pedal that would work to cover both for the most part (don't need the looper option either)? I would prefer something different than going with another Carbon Copy (i.e., the Deluxe).

    Thanks in advance.

I just grabbed a DOD Rubberneck; gonna test it tomorrow. Analog delay, tap tempo, on sale this month.

Also considered the Avalanche Run v2, Keeley Caverns, Carbon Copy deluxe.

Was specifically looking for analog, tap tempo, mono, in front of amp.

I already have DIG and Nemesis in fx loops in stereo.

As awesome as the Headrush is, that’s a lot of real estate for a looper

I'm still trying to find one of these to test out. Isn't it only spec'd for 50ms more than the DMM? I guess some DMMs don't reach the full 550ms.

How did the DOD Rubberneck work out for you?
